About Jotunheimen Fjellstue

We are surrounded by wonderful nature which will give you amazing experiences that you will not forget. In our hotel no matter what weather it is, you can enjoy mountains with adventures flavours, surroundings, and great peace. Fjellstue is an excellent choice both for these who are looking for quiet days in our mountain hotel or for these who wants to experience more extreme experiences.

We are open in weekends from May until September, and every day from the middle of July until middle of August.

Ole Ragnar Repp has operated Jotunheimen Fjellstue since 2004. With experience from the tourism and origins of Bøverdalen, he has a passion to create something valuable.

History

Fjellstue was built by the end of 40s. and it has been used extensively for camp school at the beginning. In addition, there was full activity every Easter, by local families who wanted to go to the mountains. In the 70’s, a new addition was added to increase capacity.
Since then, Fjellstue has been regularly restored and upgraded, and now we are facing a new upgrade in 2021/22.

Location and arrival

Fjellstue is located about in the middle of Sognefjellet, along Sognefjellsvegen and 30km west to Lom and 50km south to Skjolden.
The easiest way here is by a car, both from west and south. Sognefjellsvegen opens approximately in May and it is open until September. In the season, there is a buss that stops in front of our hotel.
